In today’s post-covid world, infection control is high on everyone’s radar. Under the direction of an infectious disease specialist, we have implemented rigorous policies to maintain the most stringent standards and are committed to the safety of our residents. Concurrently, we are part of the national effort to help fight antibiotic resistance and improve antibiotic prescribing and use. At least 28% of antibiotic courses prescribed each year are unnecessary and can cause significant harm to the frail and elderly. Our antibiotic stewardship program (ASP) supports optimal antibiotic use to successfully improve patient outcomes.

Our infectious disease program focuses on:

  • Early Detection & Treatment for Residents  showing any Signs & Symptoms of Infection
  • Evaluating & Limiting the Use of Antibiotics when appropriate
  • Infection Control, Prevention
    & Treatment
  • Infection Prevention Training
