We will treat your loved one with dignity and respect while they are in our care. At Claremont, we have a dedicated secured Dementia unit with unique activities, therapies, and care to enhance residents lives.
Our goal is to provide each resident with the opportunity to participate in an activity which represents their needs, preferences and adaptations to their abilities. We use a holistic approach with our residents, providing activities on all levels including:
Upon admission, your loved one will be assessed for physical, occupational, and speech therapy needs. This process will promote their independence and safety. Our staff will continue to monitor each resident for any signs of decline in their function and refer them for therapy services as needed.
Respite care is available at the same cost as the daily rate. This service allows loved ones to take a needed break from their daily care giving roles. The Office of Aging has a Medical Assistance waiver program available for respite care funding. We also accept funding from the Veterans Affairs Office and Hospice for respite care.
Please visit Admissions to start the straight-forward process. Residents eligible for admission will have a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or other dementia-related diagnosis. As part of our pre-admission process, we will schedule a face-to-face evaluation with your loved one in their current care setting. After the evaluation, our Interdisciplinary Team will meet to discuss if your loved one would benefit from our specialized unit.
